Citizen Science refers to the involvement of members of the general public in science, enabling participants to make a direct contribution to research. Such effort allows to expand opportunities for scientific data collection and to enable community members to deepen their knowledge about environmental issues. Among the several activities that we are conducting, MELOA wants to involve the citizens in the data collection, since we believe that citizen science can be a powerful tool to get meaningful marine data for research.
